Sasha Festival 2021 - post 3

On Friday morning we made crafts: hand-sewn underwear, pen-decorated shoes, and rainbow tule tutus. I am not a crafter, but did manage to decorate the shoes and make the tutu while also taking pictures - the underwear will have to wait.

Here are folks working on the underwear, which included stretchy fabric and a pattern:

Here are folks working on decorating the white sneakers with permanent ink pens, which then got swabbed with alcohol to “bleed” the colors:

Sheila is putting the alcohol on my shoes for me (thanks again!).

Here are folks working on the tutus, which were made from various rainbow ribbons with strips of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple tule tied on:

As you can see lots of fun was had by all, and there was plenty of time for chatting and catching up during the crafting. Lunch break is almost over so it will be time for cleaning and restringing workshops soon. You caught a glimpse of the second raffle in one of these pictures; I will try to write another post with  pictures of it in during our break this afternoon (no group excursion due to Covid).

Some lovely, straightforward crafts to try at this year's festival - we're sorry to miss doing those with our Sasha friends.
